Mozambique: The Serengeti of the Sea
Mozambique, particularly the coastline off Tofo Beach, offers an experience that rivals any land-based safari. This wild, plankton-rich stretch of the Indian Ocean is world-famous for its "Ocean Safaris," where you scour the surface for fins rather than tracks. It is one of the few places on Earth where massive aggregations of Whale Sharks and Manta Rays occur year-round. The sheer volume of megafauna here is staggering; it is not uncommon to find yourself swimming amidst a dozen of the ocean’s biggest gentle giants at once. It is raw, untamed, and absolutely massive.
Why We Chose This Sticker Design
To illustrate the scale of these aggregations, we took a completely different perspective. We chose a top-down aerial view to showcase a massive gathering of Whale Sharks, emphasizing just how small humans feel in their presence. In the center, a small local outrigger boat drifts among the giants, serving as a visual anchor to demonstrate the sheer size of these speckled leviathans. The bright turquoise water represents the surface visibility during those adrenaline-fueled snorkel encounters.
