Galapagos Archipelago: The Miniature Godzilla
The Marine Iguana is a biological anomaly—a cold-blooded lizard that dives into the freezing Pacific Ocean to eat "salad." Endemic to the Galapagos, these are the only seagoing lizards on the planet. While Charles Darwin famously called them "hideous-looking" and "most disgusting, clumsy lizards," divers today see them as miniature Godzillas. They are tough survivors, capable of holding their breath for up to 30 minutes as they dive to graze on nutrient-rich algae beds, using their powerful tails to swim and their claws to hold on for dear life
Why We Chose This Sticker Design
This design illustrates the daily struggle of life in the surge. We captured the Marine Iguana in its signature feeding pose: clinging tightly to a submerged volcanic rock to avoid being swept away by the current. We emphasized the sharp, curved claws that act as grappling hooks and the vibrant green algae on the rock, which is the sole reason these dragons brave the cold water.
