Malpelo: The Shark Fortress of the Pacific

Malpelo is not a vacation island; it is a sheer, volcanic rock rising 500 kilometers off the coast of Colombia, and it is strictly for the hardcore. Part of the legendary "Golden Triangle" of diving (alongside Cocos and Galapagos), this UNESCO World Heritage site offers some of the wildest pelagic action on Earth. The currents here are strong and unpredictable, washing over vertical walls that attract massive schools of Scalloped Hammerheads and Silky Sharks. It is a place that feels prehistoric, remote, and absolutely teeming with adrenaline.

Why We Chose This Sticker Design

The visual definition of Malpelo is density, and that is exactly what we aimed to capture. There is no coral garden here to distract the eye; the blue water is the canvas, and the sharks are the art. We packed the frame with Scalloped Hammerheads, featuring a detailed leader in the foreground backed by a "wall" of silhouettes fading into the deep. This layering effect was essential to replicate the dizzying experience of looking out into the blue and realizing that the shadows are moving. It is a monochromatic tribute to the sheer volume of life found at "The Rock"
